Youngest Mother In History

At just 5 years old, Lina Medina, born on September 23, 1933, was brought to the hospital by her parents due to an unusual abdominal growth. To the astonishment of the medical team, it was revealed that Lina was seven months pregnant. She suffered from a rare condition known as ‘precocious puberty,’ which triggers premature sexual development.

This shocking revelation made Lina Medina the youngest documented mother in medical history. On May 14, 1939, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy through a cesarean section, as her pelvis was too small for a natural delivery. The child was named Gerardo, but the identity of his father remained a mystery.

Tragically, Gerardo passed away at the age of 40 due to myelofibrosis. Remarkably, Lina Medina, who is now 90 years old as of the date of this publication, continues to live on.
